Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service have an exciting opportunity for an ICT Solutions Developer to join our small dedicated team based at our Service Headquarters in Birstall.

LFRS use a number of specialist systems that underpin our day to day function. Our challenge is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization through IT. Your role will be key in achieving our goals enabling smarter use of our data, system development and system integration.

You will be developing and maintaining current systems and delivering software development projects using tools such as Visual Studio, SQL, SSIS, SSRS, PowerShell and K2 business process management software.

You will be self-motivated with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential. As part of small team you can expect your work to be varied. There is an ongoing support requirement across the team and you will be required to manage the demands of ad-hoc support requests against project timelines. You’ll understand the phases of a development project and be expected to implement some of them.
