Reporting to the Service Information Team Supervisor, you will the first point of contact for all callers and visitors to our Service headquarters building in Birstall.

Part Time – 16 hours per week
08:30 – 17:00 Monday and Tuesday

Some of the main responsibilities will include:

•Providing a warm, inclusive and professional welcome to all of our visitors, ensuring everyone receives a high standard of customer care
•Dealing with a variety of telephone calls and other enquiries, transferring callers effectively and forwarding correspondence
•Maintaining a safe, tidy and accessible reception area for all users
•Directing people around the building, assisting with meeting room bookings and facilitating visitor requirements such as wifi access
•Receiving incoming deliveries and applying appropriate security checks
•Advising on postage methods and preparing outgoing mail items for the scheduled daily collection
•Completing various administration tasks associated with the role and in support of your colleagues in the Service Information Team
•Opening and securing the buildings main entrance in a timely manner

To be the successful candidate you will have worked in a customer facing environment with least 6 months experience in a reception role, you will be a polite and confident communicator both in person and over the phone, with the ability to converse effectively at all levels and accurately relay detailed information and complex messages.

As a highly organised individual you will be able to work on your own initiative to undertake the wide variety of tasks required of this position and able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a helpful, calm and professional approach. You will display a high degree of interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to quality services and customer care, as well as having knowledge of - and commitment to - Equality and Diversity.
