Health and Safety is a key consideration in all areas of Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service’s operations. We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Health & Safety Coordinator to help uphold and drive forward high standards of working with teams and management throughout our organisation. You will ensure compliance with statutory legislation and monitor and develop relevant processes. In addition, you will provide advice to staff about safe working practices. You will develop and maintain accurate records and attend Health and Safety meetings as appropriate.

You will hold a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent) and be committed to your own development. You will have knowledge of current health and safety legislation and practices sufficient to carry out reviews of Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service’s health and safety policies and procedures. You will be confident to present health and safety performance updates to senior management. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
