The successful candidate will provide general administrative support to the Station Manager for the Melton and Rutland District.

You will be based at Melton and Oakham Fire and Rescue Stations, base location to be discussed at interview and agreed with district management however, you must be willing on occasion to travel to Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service sites within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland for training, courses or other administrative duties.

You will have relevant experience in a clerical or administrative environment, performing general office duties such as responding to telephone and email enquiries, digital scanning and photocopying whilst providing exceptional customer service. Experience of using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is essential, as is the ability to follow and implement administrative systems and procedures, and the ability to determine priorities, planning workloads within agreed deadlines. You will have good communication skills and will be able to communicate effectively at all levels, within the organisation and with external stakeholders.

The successful applicant will be required to work 18.5 hours (part time) Monday to Friday, specific hours to be discussed at interview. There may be some occasions to be flexible to attend station meetings which normally take place at 16.00pm.
