This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven individual to join our small but busy Appliances & Equipment team, to deliver a wide variety of firefighting equipment for our operational staff.

The Equipment Technician will be working within a busy department sourcing suppliers of Firefighting equipment, ensuring the asset tracking system is updated and equipment is suitably stored on operational vehicles.

You will have experience of working in high pressure, time restrictive environments, working to a high standard of accuracy and accountability. You will have a proven track record of building effective working relationships with external suppliers and internal staff, both operational and non-operational. Experience of testing equipment, accountability of test records and asset tracking are essential qualities of the role.

Excellent written and verbal skills are essential along with the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people at all levels.

You will need to have good interpersonal skills and the ability to build healthy relationships with people, able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines, evaluate the effectiveness of equipment trials so effective purchasing can be completed.

This is a challenging role within a developing department that prides itself on providing the very best equipment for our teams.
